Saturday, April 17th, 2010 - Team #222 Wins 3rd Place programming trophy at FLL World Festival.
The World festival is the world championship of First Lego League where the country winners from 32 countries plus the state winners from 40+ states or regions compete to see who can create the best combination of research, robot design, teamwork and robot performance. The competition is much like the Olympics for robotics. To win a trophy at this level of competition which included so many fine teams from the U.S. and the country winners from all over the world is quite an honor!!
Congratulations to the "Inventioneers" team from Londonderry, New Hampshire for becoming the 2010 World Champions!

Welcome to the website of the FIRST LEGO League teams for Heritage Christian School. Yes, teams - plural. The competition success of last year's team brought a lot of interest throughout the school. So, this year we are expanding the program to a 2nd team made up of 4th and 5th grade Elementary school students!
This will be the 4th year HCS is participating in FLL and we think it could be the best year yet. The theme for the year is Smart Moves. The competition has been announced and the science project and robot game look to be great fun this year.
It is our strong belief that it is more important what we learn (about ourselves, our world and our God) than it is what we win and that it is more important to have fun while learning than to be overly focused on winning. Competing drives progress, but it should drive Gracious Professionalism, too! Each year we break our robots down, throw away our software and start from scratch becuase that allows the new year to contain the largest learning experience. Last year's team conciously chose not to compete and they learned a lot in the process. Along the way God smiled on them and they earned recognition with the Design Award at the regional trounament, the Champion's Award (State Champ) at the State Tournament and finally, were one of only about 10 teams from the U.S. to win a trophy at the World Festival (Wisconsin FLL News).
